Interior Designers....I need your help!!!!? | |
I want to go to college to be an interior designer but I am very "unlearned" about the process. Do you need your B.A. or A.A. to get a good job? What is the job field like for interior designers? Is it hard or easy to get a job? What is the average annual salary?
If anyone can "school" me in this industry I would appreciate it sooo much.....

1i have been in the industry for about 6 years now...i have worked for many celebrities and commercial luxury companies. The rate of pay is what your talent is worth if your innovative and can save your client money then your client will feel comfortable with paying you what you desire because they know you won't cheat them. This industry is also about choosing the right clients and getting correct exposure. Sure you can re-design your aunts or neighbor's room but what will you gain from that? Will it give you exposure? Will you have a budget that will let you try new things or will you be limited as to what you can work with. You don't need a B.A. necessarily i have an A.A. in Fine Arts, but overall its your talent and how well you can communicate that with your client.
